Surreal travel art inspired by MesoAmerican wonders in Mexico & Guatemala

These “paintings” reflect a crazy love amid a surreal past.

This collection evolved while traveling Central America in 2009 with a very beautiful, but edgy, young Mexican woman.

Needless to say – it was a wild, passionate affair that ended after a handful of weeks.

We traveled to some epic MesoAmerican cultural sites, exploring ruins like Mayan Tikal in Guatemala and (pre-Aztec) Pyramids of the Sun & the Moon at Teotithuacan in Mexico.

It was a crazy swirl of ancient ruins, tequila, and color.
