The Thursday & Sunday market in Chichicastenango in the highlands of Guatemala is one of the largest – and most traditional –  in the country.

And it attracts plenty of tourists, but amid the many colorful handicrafts are also the everyday, local market items. However, on this particular day I was surprised how few foreigners there actually were (maybe cos it was during the low season … ?)
