Across Bolivia I was always taken by the dress of the traditional-looking women, in their bowler hats and striped colored shawls, often with kids wrapped onto their backs; existing within the often cold, sometimes hot, Altiplano climate. Living strongly against the forces of nature.

Afternoon panoramic views from opposite ends of Havana … Without a doubt Havana is one of my favorite cities in the world. Amazing history and architecture, tropical coastal setting, sexy – but that’s another story – friendly locals, and happening music.

My solitary Sunday was absorbed by a visit to La Paz’s San Pedro Prison. No, I wasn’t arrested for drugs or acts of public indecency, rather it was a straight forward tourist kinda thing.
